Roovio was a new travel platform competing against much larger players, with no existing audience or traffic to build from. The challenge was getting travelers to notice the platform, start creating itineraries, and turn that attention into downloads and signups.

The Overview

The Overview

Roovio gives travelers a place to create itineraries, share reviews, and exchange travel ideas. But having a useful platform was only the starting point.

The bigger challenge was creating enough awareness to compete in a market where travelers already had familiar platforms to use.

What We Did

Roovio Needed Attention Before It Needed Downloads

  1. Attention Came Before Downloads

We started with informative and fact-based travel content to attract relevant audiences and increase page reach. Once the content created attention, paid promotion helped put it in front of more people. Commercial content then gave interested users a clearer reason to engage with Roovio and its app.

  2. Travel Searches Became Another Entry Point

We started creating onsite blogs around travel-related questions and information people were looking for. The content gave travelers useful answers while creating opportunities for Roovio to appear around relevant searches. Different CTAs then gave readers a path toward the app based on their interest.

  3. The Product Became Part of the Content

Roovio’s itineraries became part of the marketing. We featured itineraries across the website and social media to show travelers what they could create through the platform. This gave potential users a practical view of Roovio, rather than simply telling them about its features.

  4. The Conversation Moved Beyond Roovio's Own Channels

We also worked to get influencers talking about the app. This helped take Roovio beyond its own channels and introduce the platform to audiences already interested in travel.
